Your Porchfest is nobody's business but yours.
There are no accounts to create and nothing to sign up for. We don't know who you are, we don't know which bands you go and see, and we have no way to find out.
You can use the map, the schedule and everything else without giving us a name, an email address or a phone number. We never ask, so we never hold it.
When you star a show to build My Porchfest, that list is saved on your own device and is never sent to us. We can't see it, and clearing your browser data erases it for good. That also means it won't follow you to another phone — that's the trade-off for keeping it private.
Tipping opens Venmo with the band's own handle. The money goes directly from you to them. It doesn't pass through us, we don't take a cut, and we never see who tipped, how much, or whether you tipped at all.
If you tap the locate button, your browser shows your position on the map so you can find your way around. That happens in your browser — your location is never sent to us and never stored. If you don't tap it, we never ask.
We use Google Analytics to count visits — how many people opened the map, how many read the schedule — so we know how big the festival got and what to plan for next year.
That is anonymous and aggregate. It tells us a page was viewed; it does not tell us who you are, and it isn't linked to any of the private things above. We don't run advertising trackers, and we never sell or share anything with anyone.
If you'd rather not be counted at all, any browser tracking protection or ad blocker will stop it, and nothing on this site will break.
Taking part is different from attending. If you register as a band, a host or a vendor, you give us contact details so we can run the festival, and the details you choose to publish — your name, photo, links, Venmo handle — appear on the public map. We use them to run Porchfest and nothing else. Ask us and we'll remove them.
