Staying safe — worth a read before meeting anyone
  • Arrange handovers in a public place in daylight, and bring someone with you.
  • Keep the conversation here. You never need to give out your phone number, address or email to get something back.
  • If you found something, don't publish the details that prove ownership — let the owner tell you what's inside.
  • Never send money, gift cards or a deposit to recover an item. Nobody legitimate will ask.
  • Nothing valuable should be handed over at someone's home. Meet at a café, a shop, or the festival info point.
  • Something feel wrong? Stop and tell the organisers rather than pressing on.
